LEE'S HISTORYLee Bogat was born in the foothills of the Ural Mountains. As a child she endured the extreme Russian winters and relished the long summer nights. At an early age she developed a rich understanding of the natural world. Farm animals, the vegetable garden, shuffling autumn leaves in birch forests on her way home from school. It wasn't until the adult years that time and circumstance allowed her to develop her love for painting. She paints from the heart filled with the memories of her childhood. Feeding chickens in the winter snow. A river flowing through flower laden fields where a horse drawn card just happens to be crossing a bridge. Lee has a keen eye for detail and her work radiates everything that is natural and pure.

Be it in still life, a village girl walking in the snow or chickens sitting on their roost. Her masterly use of watercolour, keen eye for detail make her work distinct and unmistakably charming.
